Ventricular Septal Defect Repair (Open Surgery Method)

This surgery fixes a hole between the two lower chambers of the heart. These chambers are called the "ventricles." The wall between them is called the "ventricular septum." We usually do this surgery early in a child's life so their heart will work properly.
